YY Ventures has partnered with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

in Bangladesh to launch the Orange Corners program in Bangladesh. An agreement was signed between Shazeeb M Khairul Islam, Founder & Managing Director of YY Ventures, and Bas Blaaw, First Secretary at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh, on November 30, 2022.

Orange Corners is an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands that provides young entrepreneurs across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East with training, business development support, mentorship, events, network, funding, and other facilities to start and grow their businesses. Through this program, entrepreneurs can develop innovative solutions to local challenges that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In partnership with diverse stakeholders, the program aims to support and strengthen local entrepreneurial ecosystems to create a more sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous society.

With the opening of Orange Corners Bangladesh, Orange Corners will be launching their 18th Hub across the global network, and the 1st Hub in Asia in January 2023. In preparation for the launch, YY Ventures hosted a 2-day kickoff workshop on November 29-30, 2022, at Impact Hub Dhaka with representatives from Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre, SAJIDA Foundation, Unilever, DBL Group, and potential partners, to envision how we can enable Bangladeshi youth with skills, funding, and resources to build sustainable businesses by combining our strengths to create an inclusive and equitable entrepreneurship ecosystem.
